Diamond & Pearl--Great Encounters Prerelease Tournaments

Pokémon USA, Inc. today announced the upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game  Diamond & Pearl—Great Encounters Prerelease tournaments. Prerelease tournaments provide players their first opportunity to preview and play with not-yet released cards from the upcoming Diamond & Pearl—Great Encounters expansion, in stores February 13th. The Pokémon TCG Prerelease tournaments will be held during the weekends of February 2nd & 3rd and February 9th & 10th. Players are divided into three categories: Junior Division (Born 1997 or later), Senior Division (Born in 1993, 1994, 1995, or 1996), and Masters Division (Born in 1992 or earlier). An admission fee is charged at the door and varies depending on tournament location. The entry fee includes six booster packs of the Pokémon TCG Diamond & Pearl—Great Encounters, from which each player will build his or her deck. Players may keep these cards at the end of the event.
