Overheard at Worlds
Sometimes all you have to do is listen to hear some interesting thoughts...
"You know what I like best about Hawaii so far? The Championships are here!"
"He thought my accent was funny, but my deck, not so funny."
"I tried to explain to my dad, this is my summer job."
"I should’ve brought my good deck."
"The advantage to conceding is that even though I know I'm going to lose, I can tell myself later on that I might not have lost if I hadn't conceded."

Today's the Day...
The
beautiful palm trees swaying in the breeze... the exotic birds singing mysterious island songs...
the tropical sun warming the ocean air... Yeah, none of that matters today. Meaningless. It's time
to battle! There'll be time enough for tropics when the dealing's done.
One-hundred-ninety-two competitors—64 in each Division—will spend all day today plowing
through six rounds of play, setting them up and knocking them out. All three of last year's World
Champions are here to defend their titles. Twenty-five Last Chance Qualifier players from
yesterday's "grinder" are here to try to make that title their own. By the end of the day today, we
will have 16 players left in each Division to battle tomorrow.
