EX Power Keepers

Want to become a better Trainer? EX Power Keepers will show you the way by letting you in on the tricks of the trade by Hoenn’s Elite 4. Master their knowledge, apply what you’ve learned, and you’ll be competing with the elite in no time!

Power Attacks! 
Pokémon fans won’t be disappointed with the really strong attacks found in this expansion! Armaldo (#3) joins the fray with Rock Blast, which lets you pick and choose your targets. For each Fighting Energy you discard, Armaldo does 20 damage to your opponent’s Pokémon— any Pokémon. You can discard up to 5 Energy to hurl these rocks around the field of battle. Or how about Banette (#4), which gives you even stronger control of the battle—Bench Manipulation lets you flip a number of coins equal to the number of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon, doing 40 damage to the opponent’s Active Pokémon for each heads flipped. Up to 200 damage for just 3 Energy cards… and no drawback! 

Stadiums Galore! 
There are four different Stadium cards in this set, each focusing on a different Trainer from the Elite 4! Phoebe was known in the video game for her Ghost-type Pokémon, so check out some of her favorites. Phoebe’s Stadium (#79) reduces the cost to retreat for all Psychic Pokémon by 2, giving players a strong reason to favor her unique tactics. Some of the Ghost-type Pokémon in EX Power Keepers also gain extra powers with Phoebe’s Stadium in play. Dusclops (#14) adds the Confusion Special Condition to its Mysterious Light attack, and Sableye (#22) adapts to her Stadium, using its Synchronicity Poké-Body to ignore all damage done to it by your opponent’s Pokémon-ex. Beware of Imitations!
Metagross ex (#95) uses Scanblast to hit your opponent’s Defending Pokémon for 70 damage. It also does 70 damage to each of your opponent’s Pokémon that matches the name of the Defending Pokémon. This can result in large amounts of damage for very little cost. And finally, Shiftry ex (#97) uses its Dirge attack in much the same way, doing 60 damage each time. Use either of these Pokémon to punish players who play with multiples of the same Pokémon—a very powerful tactic!
